Dahod SCHOOL HISTORY OF R & L PANDYA HIGH SCHOOL - DAHOD The Protaganist of the Panchmahal Education late Manilal Mehta established New English school in 1914 with only 10 students. In 1914 getting the support of Dahod Anaj Mahajan & other social activist from Dahod city they started this Secondary Level Education in Dahod & later in 1925 Metric Level classes also started in this high school. Later in 1944 Dahod Anaj Mahajan occupied this School with 650 students paying Rs 19001/- to late Manilal. H. Mehta. Because of their effort this school developed considerably day by day. The authorities aimed to create interest among the citizen of Dahod and to develop it more & more, so in 1949 the Dahod Anaj Mahajan Education Society was established and the school was taken under the administration. To overcome consistent increase of the students the Dahod Anaj Mahajan Sarvajanik Education Society built a large building & it was inaugurated by the Mumbai province Prime Minister Hon. Morarjibhai Desai in 1952. The citizen of Dahod & the social activities contributed and co-operated a lot in the development of the school As the student increased every year, another school building was constructed in 1955 & it was also inauguarated by the Prime Minister Hon. Morarjibhai Desai looking to the large strength of the student, the Dahod Anaj Mahajan Education Society and the Educatioin department decided to divide the school in different unit. The society Activist of Panchmahal Kamlashankar L.Pandya & his elder brother Ochchlal L Pandya donated Rs 35000/- for this noble cause . So in 1957 one unit was named Radhikabahen & Lallubhai Pandya High School . Later the Ex-Student of this school ( Presently living in U.S.A ). Dr Kundawala donated Rs 03 Lacs, so the Higher Secondary section of this school was named after Shrimati Sakinabahen mahammadbhai Kundawala Higher Secondary School in 1976-1977. Science Stream is running with Computer Education. Presently the same building is used for another purpose & we have got a new update building with the donation given by late Dhansuklal Dadarwala & kind co-operation by the Anaj Mahajan Education Society. In the new building there are different Laboratory, Computer Room, with modern facilities, every thing is well equipped. We have got a well planned hall named Dhansuklal Dadarwala Sabhakhand for cultured activities. Even an open air theatre is executed in this school compound
