Dahod The Navjivan Science College, Dahod was established with a special permission of Gujarat Government on 15 th June 1973. The College is managed by Dahod Anaj Mahajan Sarvanjanic Education Society (DAMSES). Before the college was affiliated to Gujarat University, Ahmedabad and is now affiliated to Shri Govind Guru University, Godhara. The institution is approved Under 2(F)and 12(B) of U. G. C act. The college is providing the basic science education to the economically backward adivasi/tribal SC/ST/OBC and minority students of tribal area since 1973. The college continues with its forty eight years journey of academic excellence in imparting quality of higher education in the field of basic science in correspondence with academic and administrative challenges. The basic science education is crucial knowledge for all round technological development. Besides this the college also imparts education through other activities such as N. S. S., Finishing School, Soil Analyses, Physical Education, and Sports, cultural activities and many more. It is indeed a matter of pride and pleasure that college has been selected for existing degree college to Model degree college and received grant from RUSA – (Rastriya Uchhatar Shiksa Abhiyan) sponsored by MHRD, New Delhi for Renovation of Existing Building and New construction. In Gujarat State our college is the only grant- in-aid science college to get these benefits, imparting science education up to Ph.D. program to the students of SC/ST minority and other backward classes. In addition to this We have made an honest effort to achieve better standards in all fields like academic, administrative, infrastructure and many extra curricular and co- curricular activities. Our Institute provide a platform for Doctorate Degree of Research Scholar of Chemistry Subject and thirteen research scholar have been awarded with a Ph.D degree. Our College has been conducting Programme for Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Mathematics, Physics subject and also P. G Programme for chemistry subjects
